l   How to apply for a new password

You may ask the registrant of originally who processed your application firstly, and if you make sure lost your passwordplease visit http://rs.twnic.net.tw/dnspassword-eng.html and print out the “Application Form for Password”. Fill in the application form, and fax the application together with your Business Registration Certificate to TWNIC. Upon the receipt and confirmation of your documents, TWNIC will reply you a new password by e-mail.

l   How to apply for .tw domain names

Currently, application for .tw domain name registration could be made online to avoid the review of documents in hard copies. However, respective applicant shall still comply with TWNIC requirements. The types of TWNIC domain names and application requirements, please visit http://www.twnic.net.tw/english/dn/dn_02_b.htm.

1.   If your company is incorporated in Taiwan, please visit http://www.twnic.net.tw/dn/dn_01.htm to check if the domain name you intend to use has already been registered by a third party. If this domain name is available, please select any of the registrars authorized by TWNIC to register  your domain name and link to relevant Web sites to complete the application.

2.   If you are foreign firms or foreign individual, TWNIC has authorized NeuLevel Inc. to process registration of .tw domain names in overseas registrars in Registry Gateway mode on January 17th, 2004. For application, please visit http://www.neulevel.com.tw/ for reference and service. TWNIC rules and regulations apply to both domestic and overseas registration.

 

l   How to change your company name in your profile

Please visit http://rs.twnic.net.tw/changecompany.html to print out the “Application Form for Change the Company Name of Domain Name”, fill in the form and fax with proper documents to TWNIC. Upon the receipt and proper review of your document, TWNIC will process your request accordingly.

l   How to process the Transfer the Domain Name Ownership

For transfer the domain name ownership, you must present the certificate documents issued by the original registration applicant on the consent of such transition. The following documents shall be required:

(a) “Application Form for Transfer the Domain Name Ownership”, please visit http://rs.twnic.net.tw/transfercompanyform.html and properly fill in the application with the profile on the assignee.

(b) Prepare an “Agreement of transfer for Domain Name” in your desired format. The agreement shall contain the intent of the contracting parties for such transfer under mutual consent; signature with both corporate seals (you can download the sample version from http://rs.twnic.net.tw/formt.html (only in Chinese) if you have problem in filling in the application).

(c) The photocopies of the Business Registration Certificates of both the assigner and assignee. For foreign company, please provide relevant document on incorporation.

(d) If the assigner has already petitioned for dissolution, it must attach relevant approval documents issued by competent authority.

Please fax or mail all the required documents as mentioned to TWNIC for processing.

l   How to payment for the renewal service of domain name

If your domain name will be expire, please visit (http://rs.twnic.net.tw/english/renew.html) to pay by online credit card payment.

The payment period for domain name is: 90 days before the expiry date and 30 days thereafter.

l   How to transfer the .tw domain name between registrars

Application Procedure:

Situation 1Transfer from TWNIC registrar to another domestic registrar

1.       Please visit http://rs.twnic.net.tw/english/transfer.html for processing transfer out of domain name firstly.

2.       After the successful transfer-out, please select a new registrar authorized by TWNIC and link to the website of such registrar. choice the registrars.

3.       Process online transfer-in of domain name with the new registrar.

4.       After the successful transfer-in, please payment for new registrar promptly to complete the procedure.

 

Situation 2Transfer from Taiwan registrar to overseas registrar

1.       If you wish to transfer the domain name to overseas registrar, you should first identify the new overseas registrar for registration is authorized by TWNIC.

2.       Ask the overseas Registrar to contact the .tw overseas Registry Gateway (NeuLevel, Inc.) for transfer.

3.       NeuLevel or new registrar will inform you a function to online registration your Information for domain name.

4.       Upon the confirmation of successful transfer, you have go to the new registrar Web site to proceed with your transfer and payment procedure.

5.       Completion of the transfer.

*Transfer to overseas registrar could unrestricted period on 90 days before the expiry date.

 

l   Changing company name/uniform business number

If the name of your company has changed, meaning that it is still the same company with a different name, select Application Form for Change of Company Name and proceed as stated within the form.

Please fill in the form with proper information, and fax the application form together with your “Corporation Registration Certificate” and “The controlling organization approves official archive of the change company name” (or the correlation approval document from competent authority). Additional, if you had authorize an attorney for handle this assignment, please fax together with power of attorney.

Prepare all the required documents as mentioned above, and fax or send them by mail to TWNIC for processing.
